Blue Angel Restaurant

One of my absolute favourite restaurants in Sydney. The food and service are both impeccable, and the owner Marcelo makes the whole dining experience even more special by preparing dishes for you at your table. This is the perfect restaurant for a date you want to impress, a special occasion, or for the perfect night out with friends. Can’t wait to visit again.

If you are looking for quick, cheap food this won’t be for you. If you are looking for an intimate place offering history, charm and quality then look no further. Spend some time here and you will forget you are in Sydney. The Italian charm and food will fool you right into believing you will step out of the front door right into a Roman plaza. Friendly staff, food cooked right at your table by chefs who have done so for decades. We love this place and will be back.

What memorable night!! The food was amazing, service outstanding and atmosphere extremely welcoming and enjoyable.. The entire aura was faultless.. We picked the Blue Angel for our first ever Christmas Party and our team asked if we can make it an annual tradition!! Thank you to Marcello and his team for such a warm welcoming dinning experience 👌

Very elegant restaurant and excellent services. Foods are top quality and reasonably priced. The $620 for 3 people was well spent, I would say. Interestingly most customers are Asian. There is a car park few minutes walk away and it wasn't that hard to find a parking slot on the nearby street either. Seafood lovers should definitely give it a try.

Must order: Misto crudo - Undeniably fresh and delicious. Panacotta -An unexpected underdog that stole the show, it was deliciously creamy and was flavoured perfectly. Good to try: Lobster bisque - definately an acquired taste the more we had the nicer it became. Very homey and cosy perfect for a rainy day Not a favourite: Spaghetti Vongole - As a seafood lover for the whole of my life it's quite hard to find things that taste 'fishy' but that flavour along with olive oil was dominating the whole dish. It became quite difficult to finish the dish. Kobe snowflake Wagyu 9+ - Not a particularly good cut and not very enjoyable. The potatoes and vegetables were lackluster. Service: Polite but not particularly friendly. Atmosphere: The older restaurant has a particular smell and the tanks everywhere didn't help. Though this is a very minor note. Overall it had a cozy feel. Overall, I would not revisit and not recommend it to a friend.

A fantastic meal, as always. Like many Sydney locals my family and I have been dining at the Blue Angel for the better part of a decade, and it has never failed to disappoint! Marcello and all the lovely staff add charm to the already incredibly characteristic restaurant with table side service which is both fun and delicious! Although meals are certainly on the pricier end, they are worth every penny. You don’t pay $120 and leave with an empty stomach here! I recommend the oysters raw and Mornay, lobster mornay, steak Diane and crepe Suzette (most pictured below). Great for 2 or larger parties and functions.
